Beverage yield is an estimate of how much brewed coffee will end up in your cup. Some water stays trapped in the coffee grounds during brewing, so the final drink will usually be less than the amount of water you poured. The actual amount can vary depending on the coffee, brewer, grind size and how the water drains.
This is an unusual ratio for coffee brewing.

What does a brew ratio mean?
A 1:16 brew ratio means using 16 g of water for every 1 g of coffee. For example, 15 g of coffee × 16 = 240 g of water. For everyday brewing calculations, 1 ml of water is treated as approximately 1 g.
